JRPIT
The Journal of Research and Practice in Information Technology (JRPIT) is an international quality, peer reviewed journal covering innovative research and practice in Information Technology. Until the year 2000, it was titled the Australian Computer Journal, and has been published by the Australian Computer Society continuously since November 1967.
The Journal has a dual emphasis and contains articles that are of interest both to practicing information technology professionals and to university and industry researchers. In particular, it encourages papers that report on activities that have successfully connected fundamental and applied research with practical application. The journal publishes papers relating to both emerging research and to professional practice.
It provides high quality peer reviewed survey and review articles in computer science, information systems and software engineering that aim to effectively transfer knowledge for the Australasian context. The Journal also publishes articles about topical and important areas that are accessible by computing professionals, academics and students. It contextualizes the most recent research and knowledge for the practitioner.
JRPIT encourages submission of innovative and original articles in all areas of Information Technology including Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Systems and Information Engineering and Telecommunications.
The practitioner focused articles may be reports on industry based projects, and this may include reports on ventures that were not successful. Such reports would explain to the practitioner and others why the projects did or did not work.
