Software Testing Special Interest Group

The team at IP Australia have implemented a keyword driven automated testing framework for modular, repeatable and efficient testing using IBM Rational Functional Tester v8 with a java swing User Interface and a DBXML database.

The UI gives the framework functionality for;
- creating and running tests associated with various projects, environments and applications under test.
- Creation, review, update and deletion of test artefacts
- Reporting and metrics
- Database management

The framework was built for modularity to achieve;
- Reusability - Flexibility
- Repeatability

Usability of the framework allows it to be intuitive, efficient and effective.
