Kumar Parakala is the Global Chief Operating Officer of the IT Advisory practice for the professional service firm - KPMG. He also fulfils the role of Asia-Pacific Leader for IT Strategy and Performance for KPMG. Kumar recently took on the position of Australian Computer Society President.
 
An ICT professional for 18 years, Kumar has worked in senior management roles within healthcare, professional services, manufacturing and the public sector. Boards and CEOs consult with him on various matters relating to Corporate and IT strategy and governance.
 
Kumar Parakala holds Masters Degrees in Business Administration, Information Systems and Science, and is a qualified lead assessor and internal auditor. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Information Systems Audit Control Association and The Australian Institute of Project Management . Kumar is also a certified Master Project Director (MPD).
