ICT GOVERNANCE STANDARDS

ACS members are actively contributing to the development of Australian and International Standards,
through their participation in working groups and technical committees. Membership of the Standards Australia sub-committees/working groups is open and each group has an online mailing list to supplement face to face meetings.

The Chair of the ACS Governance of ICT Committee represents the ACS on the Standards Australia Technical Committee responsible for making recommendations on adopting Australian IT Governance and Management standards.

  • AS8015 Australian Standard for Corporate Governance of ICT was published in January 2005. Slides for a presentation on implementing effective corporate governance of ICT using the standard are available at
    http://www.ramin.com.au/itgovernance/notforprofit-governanceseminar-slides.html
  • Working groups have also been established to research and draft standards for Governance of ICT
    in Contracts, Projects and Operations.
