Welcome to New StudentsWelcome to our new students who enrolled for Study Period 1, 2012 and also welcome back to our continuing students. It is always hard to recommence studies, particularly after Christmas and a lengthy break from formal education - but the rewards are great. Apart from your continuing professional development, the CPe Program articulates into Graduate Diploma and Masters Awards with various educational organizations and universities throughout Australia. For more information on articulation visit http://www.acs.org.au/cpeprogram/index.cfm?action=show&conID=articulation Our student e-news is issued monthly to current and past students and we would be pleased to hear of your achievements to include and share with others. We hope you enjoy studying with the ACS and if you have any queries or concerns, please contact the office where Pam Barnes and Vinita Upadhyay will be happy to assist you. Our free call number is 1800 671 003 (within Australia) and email cpeprogram@acs.org.au The Professional Practice (PP) subject is an essential part of the CPe Program for students who intend to graduate from the course. It is a compulsory subject but costs you nothing to complete! The PP outcomes for a student are:
CPeP students are allocated a personal mentor to guide them through PP and we give the student the tools and templates to complete their reflective diary and ePortfolio. Students and mentors work within the SFIA framework (Skills Framework for the Information Age). PP can take up to 52 weeks to complete and the mentor is with the student for the entire journey. Although it is an extra time commitment with your CPeP core subject studies, the outcomes will be worth the effort. Students commence Professional Practice in Business, Legal and Ethical Issues and some will commence in their second subject, Business, Strategy and IT. For more information about Professional Practice, visit http://www.acs.org.au/cpeprogram/index.cfm?action=show&conID=report CPeP Policies and RegulationsThe CPeP website has a section on Policies and Regulations for students and also a Deferral Policy. We suggest you read the Policies and Regulations and the Deferral Policy so you are informed of our rules and required timelines. http://www.acs.org.au/cpeprogram/index.cfm?action=show&conID=polregs We also have an Assessment and Help section which includes grading and assignment policies, plus Student Support which you will find essential reading.
