Ongoing professional development
Managing your career
The ACS has adopted the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) as the competency framework to empower our members identify their current skills profile, the types of career roles they would like to achieve, and build a learning and development plan that will help them achieve that goal. To build a skills profile, visit MySFIA.
Continuing Professional Development
The ACS hosts over 650 events each year throughout Australia to ensure our members can develop their skills in the latest techniques. These can be technical ICT skills, management, or leadership skills. All ACS events are mapped to an appropriate skill defined within SFIA. This means that members are able to generate a skills profile from their continuing professional development (CPD) log that demonstrates their commitment to career progression, and specific skills areas. This skills profile is invaluable in navigating a successful ICT career.
