Recognition of Prior Learning
|
Students may apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) for subjects within the ACS Computer Professional Education Program except the Professional Practice Report.
To gain RPL for a subject, and its associated assessment, a student must provide evidence that they have already achieved the aims of the subject.
Credit may be given to those candidates who have completed an equivalent CMACS subject and have practical experience in that knowledge domain/specialism. A current resume must accompany the application for Recognition of Prior Learning. RPL for CMACS subjects will be considered only if the subject was completed five (5) years prior to enrolment in CPE Program.
The evidence may be in the form of, but not limited to;
- authorised statements of university results,
- certificates from other education providers and certification agencies,
- letters from employers, work colleagues and clients, and
- artefacts of work previously completed.
An application for RPL will be assessed by the ACS Principal & Chief Examiner in consultation with the ACS Examiner responsible for the subject or subjects involved. Students seeking RPL will be notified of the assessment of their applications by email.
Note: Our policy is that 50% ( two subjects) of the course will only be allowed for RPL credits.
