SFIA Requirements for CPEP

Certain CPEP subjects will be revised for Study Period 1, 2009 to incorporate the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) competencies. More information will be sent to students in the near future. This will effect Business, Legal and Ethical Issues, Business, Strategy and IT and Project Management. All other subjects have already incorporated SFIA into their syllabus. For information on SFIA visit www.sfia.org.uk

IP3 Accreditation

The International Federation of Information Processing (IFIP) held an accreditation assessment of the ACS  in relation to an International Professional Practice Partnership (IP3) in Sydney during the week 7 July. CPEP was a major part of the accreditation process and we had five CPEP graduate students participate in interviews with the panel. CPEP and the students were well regarded by the panel and we expect a positive outcome which will be announced at the IFIP conference in Milan, Italy in September. For information on the World Computer Congress visit http://www.wcc2008.org/site

The ACS wishes to thank the students, Carl Michael, Michael Driver, Colin Price, Le-Anne Wolfenden and Jamie McDonell, who participated in the interview process in Sydney and also by teleconference on the 9 July.
