Toastmasters
In 2010, the ACS Canberra Branch and some Toastmasters from the Canberra area formed a new Toastmasters club. The ACS Canberra Toastmasters Club was officially chartered On 10 November 2010.
It is a great union, with the ACS and its program of establishing and nurturing local SIGs for its members and Toastmasters with its program of establishing new clubs for existing members and new members to develop their communication and leadership skills. There is a natural synergy between the two organisations in helping men and women to learn the arts of speaking, listening and thinking.
By joining forces, ACS Canberra and local Toastmasters, have created a new club for members to take advantage of the opportunity to improve their communication and leadership skills and find the courage to change.
Here’s how one could benefit by taking on the Toastmasters communication and leadership journey:
- Learning to communicate more effectively
- Increasing leadership potential
- Increasing self-confidence
- Becoming a better listener
- Improving presentation skills
- Building ability to motivate and persuade
More than four million people around the world have discovered the benefits of this proven learning formula, so see you at a Toastmaster meeting!
