Mission
The ACS Open Source Software (OSS) SIG is a forum for learning about and discussing issues associated with the adoption and use of open source software in a commercial context.
Objectives
- To provide IT professionals with a forum to discuss and learn about OSS and related issues
- To present speakers with specific experience related to OSS
- To act as a medium for communication between IT professionals on subjects related to OSS
- To encourage research into OSS related issues.
Output
Output from the OSS SIG will include:
- Group meetings
- The ACSOSS Yahoo! group (mailing list)
- An informal network of contacts between members.
