Enterprise Information Management

The Enterprise Information Management (EIM) SIG is a group created for sharing leading practices, latest development, knowledge and experience in EIM among the group members. EIM is essentially a mix of technology and business disciplines for managing and utilising data, information and knowledge.

The EIM domain scope generally includes Structured and Unstructured Data Management, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Search, Information Portal and Content Management (essentially part of Unstructured Data Management). The scope of Data Management includes Data Governance, Data Architecture, Data Retention and Archiving, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management, Master Data Management, Data Privacy and Security. The practice scope includes EIM methodologies, strategy & roadmap and data migration. The SIG also covers various information-centric business solutions.
