What is the purpose of this survey?

The ACS Women’s Board is committed to helping women shape Australia's ICT industry.

Many women have already shared their experiences through the ACSW's 2008 and 2010 surveys for women. We invite women working in ICT to contribute to the 2012 ACSW Women in ICT Survey.

Expanding on our first members-only survey in 2008, our 2010 survey sought to get more women’s voices heard, with all women involved in the ICT industry or working with ICT in Australia invited to participate. In helping us understanding women's perspectives, responses to the 2010 survey played a key part in communicating the unique values and benefits women bring to the Australian ICT industry.

Women traditionally shy away from male-dominated industries such as ICT, so recognition through projects like the European Union PRA.G.E.S. project ultimately encourage more women into these professions, creating a level playing field regardless of gender.

We will continue to keep you informed about the valuable use of women's feedback in many forums as possible in 2012 and in 2013.
