Board Members

Susan Bandias (NT)

Dr Susan Bandias is the Director of the ACSW Board.
Sue is a lecturer at Charles Darwin University in the areas of Human Resources and Cross Cultural Management. Her research interests are varied and include gender issues, Indigenous use of ICT, telecommunications, economic development and online curriculum development.

Sue has lived in the Northern Territory for 20 years and is also the Vice Chair of the ACS Northern Territory Branch.

Emeline Haight (Tas)

Ms Emeline Haight is the Secretary of the ACSW Board.
With a background in botany, fine arts and information management, Emeline believes IT is an excellent second career. She is currently employed by the Department of Education in Tasmania, with a focus on information architecture, web usability and metadata.
Emeline is a Board Member of ACS Tasmania.

Barbara Herden (ACT) MPH, MComECom, MACS (Snr) CP

Barbara Herden currently works in the public sector in Canberra. Barbara has over thirty years of experience in ICT related roles, including data analysis, project management, research analysis and informatics. She has a specific interest in women in ICT. Barbara has a special interest in electronic health demonstrated by her Master in Commerce – Electronic Commerce being undertaken both here and in Germany.

Barbara serves as Director, Environmental Issues on the ACS Community Engagement Board. Barbara is also a member of the ACT Women in Information and Communication organisation. In addition Barbara has been a voluntary chief judge and designer of the WorldSkills VET in Schools for Information Technology since its inception. Barbara is also a member of the Zonta Club of Canberra Breakfast.

Barbara has served as a Board Member of ACS Canberra Branch for the past four years.

Alison Orr (WA) MACS (Snr) CP, GradCertManagement (Curtin), Prince2 Practioner

Alison Orr is a Project Manager at Curtin University in Western Australia with a background in IT applications. She has worked at Curtin since 1997, and has been in the ICT industry for over 30 years. Alison’s ICT roles include Analyst Programmer, Senior Business Analyst, and Project Manager, managing applications (new systems and maintenance/upgrade), procurement of external vendor packaged solutions and infrastructure upgrades to systems. She is currently Curtin’s Agile Program Manager and manages several varied IT projects for the university.

Alison was nominated to represent WA on the National ACS Women’s Board in 2009. Alison has chaired the ACS Women’s sub-committee in WA since 2009, and is the ACS contact for Curtin.

Alison has been a Board Member of the ACS Western Australian Branch since 2008.

Linda Zeelie (SA)

Linda is a highly respected ICT Executive and Programme Manager with extensive ICT delivery and governance experience. She is currently the HP APJ Program and Project Management Delivery Lead responsible for all project performance in the region. With over 25 years global experience in the ICT industry, Linda has held a number of key executive and project positions including Delivery Executive, General Manager, Project and Program Director.

Linda is widely considered an industry expert in the areas of project management, governance and service delivery, being made a Fellow by the ACS in 2006 for her contributions to the industry and voted as a finalist in the Telstra Business Women’s Awards in 2001. She has been acknowledged by PMI as one of the top 25 influential female project managers in 2006.

Linda has a Master degree in ICT as well as numerous other qualifications and certifications. Linda is actively involved in the ICT industry community including serving on the ACS Women’s Board.

Maureen Klinkert (Qld)

Maureen is the Director of IT Services at the University of the Sunshine Coast,President of the Council of Australian University Directors of Information Technology (CAUDIT), and former Chair of QUESTNet. She has been in the Information Technology industry for 33 years and has worked inAfrica, North America and Australia.

She was awarded the Sunshine Coast Business Women's Network Corporate/Government Business Woman of the Year Award in 2001.
Maureen is a Fellow of the ACS and a Board Member of the ACS Queensland Branch.

Jo Dalvean BAppSci(Maths), MMult, MACS CP

Jo Dalvean is a Multimedia Project Manager with a background in publishing, marketing and eLearning. Jo's ICT roles include Multimedia Manager and IT Manager, managing infrastructure, databases and collaborative systems. She is currently managing a virtual team of researchers, industry partners and learning designers across Australia.

Jo was nominated to represent Victoria on the National ACS Women’s Board in 2009. Through the National Board, she was the ACS representative for the Digital Divas research project, investigating how to engage teenage girls in ICT. She is Vice-President of the Australian Women in IT, Science and Engineering (AWISE), and contributes to ICT Policy as a member of the National ACS Policy Committee. Jo manages the ACSW LinkedIn Group on behalf of the National ACSW Board.

Jo is a Board Member of the ACS Victoria Branch.

Sarah Fisher BApp Sci (Comp Sci), MACS Snr

Sarah Fisher has been working in the ICT industry for 25 years, covering industry and technical sales, marketing, business development, project management and business operations. She joined IBM Australia in 1985 as a technical field engineer and has worked in Australia – New Zealand and Asia Pacific. Since starting her career, she has worked for IBM, Yahoo! and Macquarie Bank.

Today, Sarah is a leader within IBM Global Technology Services in Australia – New Zealand and is responsible for providing client coverage, business development activities and growth initiatives for IBM's Strategic Outsourcing business. Sarah's key objectives are to plan and support the dynamic requirements of clients in an on demand business which utilises IBMs innovative technology. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree, in Computing Science, from the University of Technology, Sydney.

Sarah is Board Member of ACS New South Wales Branch.
