Board Members
Alison Orr
Alison Orr is the Director of the ACSW Board.
Alison is a Project Manager at Curtin University in Western Australia, with a background in IT applications. She has worked at Curtin since 1997, and has been in the ICT industry for over 30 years. Alison’s previous ICT roles include development, business analysis and project management of various IT related projects. She is currently Curtin’s Agile Program Manager and manages several varied IT projects for the university. She is a certified Prince2 practitioner, and a member of AIM.
Alison was nominated to represent WA on the National ACS Women’s Board in 2009, and was elected as Director for the period 2013-14 in late November, 2012. Alison chaired the ACS Women’s sub-committee in WA 2009-2012, and is the ACS contact for Curtin IT Services.
Alison is a Senior Certified Member of the ACS and is on the WA Branch Executive.
Susan Bandias (NT)
Dr Susan Bandias is the immediate past Director of the ACSW Board and Deputy Director for 2013.
Sue is a lecturer at Charles Darwin University in the areas of Human Resources and Cross Cultural Management. Her research interests are varied and include gender issues, Indigenous use of ICT, telecommunications, economic development and online curriculum development.
Sue has lived in the Northern Territory for 20 years and is also the Vice Chair of the ACS Northern Territory Branch.
Susan is a Fellow of the ACS.
Susan has responsibility for the analysis of the 2012 ACS W survey.
Dr Kathy Egea (NSW)
During her academic career, Kathy has focused on IT issues for women, education and new graduate employment.
She has been an IT academic and researcher since 1990. She has played an active role in supporting girls to consider careers in ICT, encouraging IT classrooms to be diversity friendly environments, and completed research on student, curriculum and industry needs, with the focus being careers in IT.
She currently is the coordinator of the First Year Experience program at the University of Technology, Sydney.
Kathy has a PhD in Information Systems (Education), ACS (CP Member), ACM (Member), with ACS roles in NSW Executive Board (2013-2014), QLD Executive Board (2009-2010), and ACSW National Board (2009-2010).
Maureen Klinkert (Qld)
Maureen is the Director of IT Services at the University of the Sunshine Coast, President of the Council of Australian University Directors of Information Technology (CAUDIT), and former Chair of QUESTNet. She has been in the Information Technology industry for 33 years and has worked in Africa, North America and Australia.
She was awarded the Sunshine Coast Business Women's Network Corporate/Government Business Woman of the Year Award in 2001.
Maureen is a Fellow of the ACS.
Linda Zeelie (SA)
Linda is a highly respected ICT Executive and Programme Manager with extensive ICT delivery and governance experience. She is currently the HP APJ Program and Project Management Delivery Lead responsible for all project performance in the region. With over 25 years global experience in the ICT industry, Linda has held a number of key executive and project positions including Delivery Executive, General Manager, Project and Program Director.
Linda is widely considered an industry expert in the areas of project management, governance and service delivery, being made a Fellow by the ACS in 2006 for her contributions to the industry and voted as a finalist in the Telstra Business Women’s Awards in 2001. She has been acknowledged by PMI as one of the top 25 influential female project managers in 2006.
Linda has a Master degree in ICT as well as numerous other qualifications and certifications. Linda is actively involved in the ICT industry community including serving on the ACS Women’s Board.
Linda is a Fellow of the ACS.
Rebecca Grant (Vic)
Rebecca is the founder and Executive Director of icourts, a law firm, legal technology and information governance consultancy specialising in the provision of electronic evidence management services to courts, law firms and government agencies.
Rebecca is also a solicitor and a Public Notary for NSW. Over the last 13 years, she has managed the IT/IM strategic direction and operational deliverables for 21 Royal Commissions and state based Commissions of Inquiry across Australia and has pioneered the development of electronic courtrooms in Australia.
Rebecca is the Convenor of the recently confirmed ACS Special Interest Group ICT Women in Victoria and she was nominated to represent Victoria on the National ACS Women's Board in 2013. She is also a Board member of the Vic ICT for Women network, sits on the NSW Law Society's Legal Technology Committee and is the Vice President of the Victorian Branch Council of RIMPA.
Rebecca is the treasurer for the board, and also the board's representative on the ACS Disciplinary Committee.
Michelle Sandford (WA)
Michelle Sandford is a Senior Service Delivery Manager at Microsoft in Perth and worked previously as a Global Delivery Executive for IBM in Europe.
As well as leading the ACS Women's group in WA, she is an active supporter of Young IT and the ACS Foundation and part of the initial Mentor Scheme. Michelle is a Senior Certified Member of the ACS and sits on the WA Branch Executive.
Michelle is actively engaged in many community support activities - she is an active member of Soroptimist International Organisation, a Facilitator for Leadership Pipeline at Riverview as well as a Team Leader in KidzChurch.
Michelle has spoken and taken part in many panel discussions on the topics of leadership, career and Women and has links with many key organisations.
Michelle is responsible for social media for the board, and updates to the Women's section of the ACS website.
