ACS (Victoria) Direct Debit Incentive Promotion TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1) Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the ACS (Victoria) Direct Debit Incentive Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions
2) The promoter is Australian Computer Society Inc. (ACT), Level 11, 50 Carrington Street SYDNEY NSW 2000. ARBN 160 325 93.
3) Important dates
Opening Date 12.01am, Monday 14th January 2013
Closing Date 4.00pm (EDST), Friday 25th of January 2013
Drawing Date 4.15pm, Friday 25th of January 2013
Announcement Date Monday 28th of January 2013
4) The promotion commences at 12.01 am (Sydney Time) on 14 January 2014 and closes at 4pm (Sydney Time) on 25 January 2013.
5) Entry is open to all ACS members who pay their own membership and who:
a) Are Financial members at 4pm, Friday 25th January, 2013
b) Are members of the Victoria branch of the Australian Computer Society, and
c) Register a valid credit card for payment of their annual renewal fees.
6) There will be one (1) draw (see clause no.3). Any member who meet the conditions as stated in clause 5 will be entered in the draw. There will be twenty prize winners.
7) The draws will take place at 11am AEST at the Australian Computer Society, Level 11, 50 Carrington Street Sydney NSW (refer to clause 3). If any prize is unclaimed within 7 days, a redraw will take place at the above address at 10am AEST.
8) The winners will be published at www.acs.org.au/ddivic on the following the next business day after the draw (refer to clause 3)
9) The Promoter will not be responsible or liable for any lost, incorrect information, late or misdirected entries.
10) Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. A prize cannot be transferred to any other person, unless agreed to by the Promoter.
11) There will be 20 prizes. Each winner will receive two tickets to the Tim Berners-Lee Lecture being held Monday 4th February 2013 at the University of Melbourne from 6pm to 8pm. There is no cash value for the prize. The prize does not include transport or accommodation.
12) If for whatever reason the prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute it for a prize of equal value, subject to regulatory approval. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
13) The result of the draws is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
14) The winners will be contacted within 24 hours of the draw by phone or email and their name and photograph (if available) may be published in Information Age (the Promoter’s bi-monthly publication).
15) If the winner does not respond within four days of the email notifying them of their win, the winner will forfeit the prize.
16) The winners will be contacted by the Promoter by email to confirm the presentation of the prize at the ACS events or local ACS Branch Offices. The Promoter will not be liable for any damage to the prize caused during postage or shipping if the prize cannot be presented directly to the winners.
17) The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions or problems with internet or network congestion including any injury or damage to or loss of any entry or any damage to a participant’s or any other person’s computer related to participation in this competition.
18) If for any reason the promotion is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to) infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
19) The prize winners must, on request by the Promoter, be able to provide evidence which, to the reasonable satisfaction of the Promoter, demonstrates that the winner is an Eligible Entrant and has complied with these Terms and Conditions. One of the eligibility criteria is that the winners must be financial members of the ACS.
20) The Promoter reserves the right to redraw in the event of the winner being unable to satisfy these terms and conditions or forfeiting or not claiming the prize.
21) Entry details remain the property of the Promoter. The name and a photograph may be used for promotional purposes by the Promoter, unless the winner otherwise notifies the Promoter at the time of accepting the prize. The promoter will provide the name and address of the winner to State and Territory gaming authorities as required by law. Eligible Entrants consent the Promoter using personal information provided in connection with this promotion for the purposes of facilitating the conduct of the promotion and awarding of prizes.
