Inspiring Your Next Career
The “Inspiring Your Next Career” program will enable ICT professionals who have recently been retrenched or taken Voluntary Redundancies make informed decisions about their career choices.
The IYNC program will improve the prospects of participants finding new rewarding jobs and it will ensure that the Queensland economy continues to have access to well qualified and experienced ICT resources.”
The program covers several key content areas including:
- building skills in seeking employment
- improving qualifications through further education and training
- understanding the requirements of becoming a contractor
- how to start your own business
These streams are supported by workshops, networking events, and the involvement of industry experts.
There is one mandatory session “Inspiring Your Next Career: The First Step”, which is scheduled for 11 June 2013 from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
Senior ACS members will also act as facilitators and work with small groups of participants to offer encouragement and ideas.

This program runs over 5 weeks and is free to ACS members.
The ACS offers non-members who wish to participate a special subscriber fee of $60 that will give them access to all ACS services, events and resources.
