IT Security Vulnerability Demonstration

Information Security Group, Defence Signals Directorate

1:30 pm to 2:15 pm

The Defence Signals Directorate Information Security Group is the national authority on matters relating to the security and integrity of Australian government communications and information systems.

For information that is processed, stored or communicated by electronic or similar means, the role of the Information Security Group is:

1. to provide material, advice and other assistance to Commonwealth and State authorities on matters relating to the security and integrity of information that is processed, stored or communicated by electronic or similar means; and

2. to provide assistance to Commonwealth and State authorities in relation to cryptography and communications technologies.

In this dynamic (and frightening) presentation, Ryan and Scott will use a small portable stand-alone network to demonstrate just how easily attacks on your IT systems can take place and the consequences of not securing your IT infrastructure.
