Ann Steward, Chief Information Officer, Australian Government Information Management Office

Biography:

Ann Steward is the Chief Information Officer of the Australian Government Information Office, Department of Finance and Administration. Ann was appointed to this role on the 11th July, 2005.<

Ann has held a number of senior strategic policy development and managerial positions in the ICT public service sector including: General Manager, IT Planning and Refresh, in Centrelink’s IT Group [2003 – 2005], Principal Adviser, e-Strategy, the National Office of the Information Economy [2002 -2003] and Director of e-Government, UK Government, [1998 - 2002].

Ann has over 20 years’ public sector experience in Australia and the UK and has participated in OECD, G8 and UC forums aimed at driving change in ICT business transformation and integrated electronic service delivery.
